The Contest

Our next Free Hockey Pool will be announced sometime in September, 2008.

By entering this free hockey pool you agree to abide by its' official rules and the decisions of management which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.  Additionally you agree to receive up to two e-mails per month with issues regarding the hockey pool.  These emails will always pertain information regarding the hockey pool and future events of the owner of FreeHockeyPool.com.  All e-mail information collected is kept securely within free hockey offline and is not passed on to any third party.

Our pool is limited to one entry per person. Any application forms with duplication of e-mail addresses, home addresses or computer IP’s will be void. One entry per person and household. FreeHockeyPool.com is not a gambling site.

How to join our free pool

To enter our free pool you need internet access and an e-mail address for communication purposes. A full mailing address will only be required if you should win a prize.

To submit your picks start by clicking the Join Pool link located on our home page www.FreeHockeyPool.com. Once you have done this, pick your players from the boxes displayed, and fill in the contact information at the bottom of the page.  If you don't fill in our optional desired pool name box, this will indicate that you would like to use your regular name.

All entries must be received by 5:30 PM PT, Thursday, October 15, 2007. We will be accepting no more than 10,000 entries, so please ensure that you fill out your entry as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Failure of any e-mail entry to be received due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, phone lines, or any combination thereof is not the responsibility of FreeHockeyPool.com.


Am I eligible to join?

This free pool is open to individuals from around the world who have reached the legal age of majority in their respective province, state or country. The pool is void where prohibited by law. Entries of individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements is permitted in the standings but they are not eligible to win any prizes.  Therefore any random prize, that falls in this category, will be reselected.

All people associated with the construction of FreeHockeyPool.com site and their immediate family members may participate, but are not eligible to win prizes.

This pool is limited to one entry per person. Any applications with duplication of e-mail addresses, home addresses and computer IP’s will be void. One entry per person/household. This is not a gambling site, we do not condone this activity in any way shape or form.


Your Team

All applicants, to our free pool, will select a team with the following: nine forwards, four defensemen and two goaltenders for a total of 15 players.  Warning multiple applications will be blocked we accept only one application per IP address.


Points System - Regular Season Hockey Pool

All players (including goaltenders) earn 1 point for every goal and 1 point for every assist. Additionally goaltenders gain 8 points for every shutout.

Points System - Playoff Hockey Pool

All players (including goaltenders) earn 1 points for every goal and 1 points for every assist. Additionally goaltenders gain 6 points for every shutout.

Hockey Pool Winner

In the event of a tie for first place, FreeHockeyPool.com will determine a winner by comparing the total goals of each individual pool that is tied for first place.  The pool(s) which include the player(s) with the highest number of goals will be the winner. If this still results in a tie, the winner will be determined by the date on which the pool was submitted.


View Standings

To view the standing click on the standings button located on the left navigation bar on FreeHockeyPool.com's home page.  From this page click the gray button at the bottom to enter view the top 100 pools.  If you would like to see all of the pools, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the middle button to load the entire Leader board.  At this page you can see how you are doing in comparison with other pools.


Winner Notification

Random winners will be contacted via e-mail within 10 days of the conclusion of the pool/regular season. A potential winner can be required to provide FreeHockeyPool.com with proof that the they are the actual authorized entry account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. Additional proof may be required to prove that the winning address is the correct address of the winning entry. Failure to provide proof can lead to disqualification. Additionally any prize notification returned as undeliverable may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner.

By accepting the prizes, all winners grant FreeHockeyPool.com, to use their names for publicity and promotional uses without further compensation.  They also agree to write a written consent and to send it to us by mail.  In the event of a identity dispute of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address in the entry, will determine the identity.

FreeHockeyPool.com plans on posting all winners names on our web sites so that we can show we are delivering the prizes.


Technology Problems

In the event that FreeHockeyPool.com's free hockey pool is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, unauthorized intervention, fraud, bugs, tampering, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of FreeHockeyPool.com which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the hockey pool, then FreeHockeyPool.com reserve the right to terminate the pool at their sole discretion to disqualify the individual who tampers with the entry process and to terminate and cancel the hockey pool contest all together.

FreeHockeyPool.com is not in any way responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, equipment or software.

WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR TAMPER WITH OUR WEB SITE OR OUR HOCKEY POOL IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS.  SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, FREEHOCKEYPOOL.COM RESERVE THE RIGHTS TO SEEK ALL DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LEGAL SYSTEM.


Release

By applying/entering in FreeHockeyPool.com's free hockey pool, you release and agree to hold harmless FreeHockeyPool.com, their creators, parent companies, their subsidiaries, any future sponsors,  affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the pool or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, costs, claims, injuries and losses related to personal death, injuries, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. Finally keep in mind this is an information site with a free hockey pool designed for entertainment enjoyment not gambling.


Official Rules

This free hockey pool is subject to all contest official rules. It cannot be used in connection with any form of gambling. By entering this free hockey pool you agree to abide by the terms of the official rules and by the decisions of FreeHockeyPool.com which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.  You also agree to receive up to two emails from us monthly so that we can keep you informed of current events within the hockey pool and future events down the road.  FreeHockeyPool.com reserve the right to change the official rules at any time in their sole discretion.
